January 15, 2008

Hey everyone! Do I have great news for you. Word on the street (OK, my buddy Ben told me) is that Emily and her boyfriend broke up. Woo hoo!

This isn't normally my favorite time of year - the lame weather and lack of sunlight really put me in a foul mood. But somehow none of that matters anymore. Emily is on the market. It's time to make my move.

I guess I should give her some time and space to get over the break up... or maybe I could be "a shoulder to cry on." I don't know how to play this. I don't want to appear to be happy about her break-up but, c'mon, of course I am. Now I just have to work out a way to make her see me as more than just a friend.

I wonder why they broke up. They seemed happy at the New Year's Eve party. Do you think there is a chance she dumped him for me?! Nah, that's probably a bit too optimistic. Still, I could have been a factor, right?

I'm so stoked, and nervous, and I have no idea what to do. Should I call her? Should I just send her a text or something? What would you guys do? Drop me a line and let me know!

Later,
Simon
