Romeo Interview (pg.2)

May 02, 2016

Sindy: What should we expect from you in the next year? I heard you had a book coming out.
Romeo: Yeah I've got a book. It's called Guaranteed Success for Teens: When You Never Give Up. I wanted to give something back to the fans you know? There are a lot of books out there that young teens can't really relate to so I wanted to give something back to them.

Sindy: And then you'll start at USC in the fall? How are things going to change for you?
Romeo: I'd have to say a things will get a whole lot busier, I'm taking my game to a whole another level being able to play D1 basketball. People forget I am going to college, which means I have to make sure to get my education. I'll be busy with schoolwork and ball and then trying to fit everything else in. So I'll just be very busy, I'd just have to say busier times two to what I'm doing now.

Sindy: Has getting an education always been a focus of yours?
Romeo: Oh yeah, you know my Pops wouldn't let me do what I do if I didn't have As and Bs. Right now I have a 3.8 in school and it's just a great accomplishment for me to be able to go to school and be doing what I'm doing because a lot of kids in the industry just drop out of school and forget about it, but I want to be a role model to the kids and show them anything's possible, you can get your education. An education is very important.

Sindy: Any idea what might you major in? What subjects are your favorite in school?
Romeo: My favorites in high school are chemistry, I love literature and stuff, [KWLINK4979]math[/KWLINK] but I'll probably major in film and minor in business in college.

Sindy: What was Christmas like at Master P's house?
Romeo: I'd have to say Christmas is crazy around my house. You know, I have a big family and we have Christmas all together, so there are a gazillion toys. It's really family oriented, I love my family and my Pops, so we do a lot of family things, have a lot of fun and really get into Christmas.

Sindy: Was there anything special on your list?
Romeo: No. This year I want to find that perfect Cinderella, so that's my Christmas wish. I think Santa knows I've been good this year, so hopefully I'll find my Cinderella. I've got the slipper, I just can't find her.

Sindy: Any new year's resolutions?
Romeo: 2008, I haven't really thought about it yet, just stay focused, just do what I do.

Sindy: Well Romeo, thanks for letting us know what you're up to. Good luck with everything and we look forward to seeing more of you in 2008.
Romeo: Thank you, I really appreciate it.
