#5. Jordin Sparks (Featuring Chris Brown) :: No Air

Two of the hottest young singers collaborate on this track about that heavy-chested feeling love can give you when it goes away. American Idol champ Sparks and Pretty Boy Brown mix their voices in touching melodies which sound exactly like anyone who has ever been in love have felt.

Unless you were stranded on a deserted island for the last five years, you’ve heard Rihanna’s enormous hit a thousand times. Most songs get played out, but somehow Ri Ri’s super catchy tune never gets old. Must be how we feel when Rihanna tells us “You have my heart, we’ll never be worlds apart.” All relationships go through their sunny and rainy times, but if you’re lucky enough to have Rihanna’s love, you’ll also have her umbrella for when things get wet.

When Alicia Keys opens her mouth, people listen. No One is an incredibly romantic ballad and one of the most popular songs of the year. Alicia isn’t the kind of girl to take a good thing for granted and when she sings about knowing a powerful love that “some people search the world to find,” you can’t help but feel a little bit envious.

Like Alicia Keys, Akon’s Don’t Matter is all about the ability of true love to conquer all. Though he has been known to be a little less than romantic in previous songs like Smack That, Don’t Matter is an honest look at loving while everything seems to be standing in your way. After all, don’t you know something’s for real if you’re willing to fight for it?

Long distance relationships can be killer, but they might be easier to handle if The Plain White T's wrote a song like this one for you. Heartfelt lyrics, acoustic guitar riffs, and a symphonic background combine to make a perfect love song almost everyone can relate to. When Tom Higgenson sings “Our friends would all make fun of us, and we’ll just laugh along because we know that none of them have felt this way” it’s like he’s letting you in on a beautiful little secret.
