Rob & Big TV Show Facts

Rob & Big has begun its third season on MTV.

Rob & Big is a reality comedy that follows pro skateboarder Rob Dyrdek, his best friend / bodyguard Chris “Big Black” Boykin, and their Bulldog Meaty on wild and crazy adventures. Kidzworld takes a closer look at this MTV series.

Main Characters

Rob Dyrdek - Pro skateboarder who helped establish DC Shoes and now promotes SafeSpot, an urban renewal plan that builds skate parks.

Christopher “Big Black” Boykin - Bodyguard and US Navy veteran who recently broke two Guinness records for eating bananas and powdered donuts.

Drama - Rob’s cousin and assistant who regularly faces funny pranks and harassment.

Meaty - Rob and Big’s pet Bulldog was adopted in the show’s very first episode.

Mini Horse - A pet miniature horse bought as a companion for Meaty in the premiere of the second season.

Fun Facts

The first season of Rob & Big reached 70 million viewers and ranked #1 in its time slot.

Rob and Big both appear in Skate, a groundbreaking video game from EA Sports.

Big Black is 6’6” tall and weighs 419 pounds.

A skatepark Rob designed in Kettering, Ohio won the Modernism award from Dwell magazine.

In 2008, Rob will appear in Righteous Kill, a movie starring Al Pacino and Robert De Niro.

Rob co-owns Rogue Status, a clothing line, with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker.

Big Black used to be a bodyguard for Sammy Sosa.
