Wakeboarding - Boarding Brothers

When the Bonifay Brothers aren't busy ripping up the water on their wakeboards, you'll probably catch them signing autographs for hot girls, making movies or listening to D-12.

20 year-old Parks and 17 year-old Shane Bonifay have been on the water since before they could walk. When Parks was just seven months old he entered the Guinness Book of World Records for being the planet's youngest water skier. Parks is still making waves on the water, since he's now the number one ranked wakeboarder in the world after winning the 2001 Pro Wakeboard Tour. His younger brother, Shane, is also ranked in the top 10 on the tour. The two brothers are always teaching each other new tricks and they get along great. "Me and Parks are pretty tight and I don't hold any grudges because he's doing better. The whole tour is a blast. We're all just a bunch of young guys and we always hang out and party together. There are some cliques on the tour but we all basically get along," says Shane who has been wakeboarding for five years.

Parks may sit a little higher than Shane on the tour standings but the main way to tell the brothers apart is by their haircuts. Parks is pretty clean cut while Shane has decided to let his hair grow out. "I've been going with the mullet for about five months now. Some people have given me a rough time but I don't care. I'm going to make the mullet the latest style all by myself."

That "style" is now making its way on to video and DVDs. The Bonifay Brothers have taken their love for wakeboarding out of the water and on to the big screen. Shane and Parks have teamed up with some of their other buddies on the tour to form Pointless Productions. Their company is busy making extreme wakeboard movies in Orlando, Florida - which is where most of the top boarders on the tour come from.

While traveling around North America and getting the best gear for free are some of the perks of being a pro, Shane says being a pro-wakeboarder is also a great way to meet babes. "I meet a ton of girls on the tour. I love meeting new people so every stop on the tour I try to meet as many girls as I can." Parks and Shane will be meeting more girls in August at the 2001 X-Games in Philadelphia.

Cheer-leading is a sport - most people think that it is not - but it is Yes it looks like they are just cheering on the football players - but their routines and being able to hold up girls over their head takes strength, and they work really hard to make everything look good.

I liked cheering for the underdog, so I've always cheered for the Cavs. I'd like to see how this year's line-up goes, though our past best point guard left for the Celtics.  :/

Mayo lost against Dublin again. 1-16 to 1-17. I support Mayo, and I am horrified to be honest. I don't want to sound like a sore loser, but I think Dublin fouled Mayo way more times than they were punished for it. Mayo rarely got any frees and the last free of the game was a minute before it ended and Dublin were taking it from very far away. Of course, they got it. Up until then, it was 1-16 to 1-16. I guess Mayo won't be taking home the cup again for another year.
