Skater Boy
Anton Yelchin was born in the USSR, where his parents were stars of the Leningrad
Ice Ballet for 15 years and qualified to participate in the
1972 Olympics. In 1989, Anton and his family moved to the United States. Though his parents wanted him to be a
figure skater as well, he soon made it very clear that he wanted to be an actor and started taking
acting classes.
Work It!
At the age of nine, Anton had
his first part in an independent film called A Man is Mostly Water. From then on, the
work came steadily and Anton played many different roles on
TV hits like ER and Law and Order. His first
big break came when he starred alongside Anthony Hopkins in Hearts in Atlantis. He also got
rave reviews for playing a kidnapping victim alongside
Justin Timberlake in Alpha Dog.

Right now, Anton stars as
Charlie Bartlett, a wealthy teenager who tries to fit into his
high school by giving other students psychological advice. Anton also has several other films on the go including playing the Pavel Chekov, in the upcoming Star Trek film. Right now Anton Yelchin is one of Hollywood’s most likeable and best young actors. We think you’re going to see a lot of this talented guy on the big screen in the future.

"For me the most important thing was to capture the spirit of Chekov, I mean he was always this weird comic relief, and really funny and strange. There are episodes when Chekov is doing absolutely no work and just macking on his girlfriend."
