Flying Snakes

Some people - Indiana Jones included - view snakes as scary crawlies. What do the afraid do with flying snakes, then? Give them to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency for research. There are flying snakes in southeast Asia. The Chrysopelea ornata (ornate flying snake) may just have armed service utility. These flying snakes live in trees and have a propensity for major glide time. According to the WA Post, it's this gliding ability that has prompted DARPA to throw money at Virginia Tec
