Deep Wizardry, the second book in Diane Duane's Young Wizard series is full of it! It's full of action, adventure, information, excitement, and extraordinary ideas.

It doesn't come as a big surprise that The Lone Power is at it again. And it's up to Nita and Kit to keep It down. Things are a little weirder (if that's possible) than they were in the first book. Our wizards aren't traveling to some wack, alternate universe through the Grand Central World Gate. This time their fight against the slow death, against The One who created entropy, goes down deep beneath the sea.

Just as Nita and Kit are enjoying some well-deserved downtime, while vacationing at the beach with Neet's family, they receive a call for help from a fellow wizard. But this isn't any ordinary wizard; this wizard is a whale. The wizard's request is significant - both Kit and Nita are needed to perform the Song of Twelve, an ancient ritual enacted to imprison The Lone Power. So what's hard about singing a whale song? Dangers you can't even begin to imagine.

Duane's second book manages to weave more magic than the first. In Deep Wizardry, our heroes are stronger, having developed their unique talents as wizards. It's full of action and rich with information.

If the ocean and its inhabitants capture your imagination, then dive into Deep Wizardry and experience Diane Duane's masterful storytelling.
