Bulls Select Rose
It was a busy night on
Draft night. To nobody's surprise the Bulls snagged Derrick Rose while the Miami Heat drafted Kansas State superstar
Michael Beasley with the second pick. The Minnesota Timberwolves picked
O.J. Mayo with he third pick but quickly sent the pick to Memphis as past of an eight player blockbuster trade. Mayo, Antoine Walker and Marco Jaric of the T-Wolves were sent to Memphis for sixth pick,
Kevin Love and Mike Miller among others. Also Richard Jefferson of the Nets was shipped to Milwaukee for Chinese sensation
Yi Jianlian. In all a record 10 freshman were selected in the first round and 10 international players were drafted overall.
Shaq Attacks Kobe
It may have been over
four years since they've been teammates, but Shaquille O'Neal is apparently still bitter at
Kobe Bryant. Probably one of the biggest
personal rivalries in sports, Shaq and Kobe fought while they were teammates and the first couple years after Shaq was traded to Miami. After it had appeared the two have kissed and
made up, Shaq re-opened the rivalry by
rapping about Kobe during a performance in a New York City nightclub. There,
Shaq made fun of Kobe by saying he couldn't win an NBA Championship without him. In the swear-ridden rap, Shaq even blamed Kobe for his recent
divorce.
Spain and Germany in Euro Cup Final
For the first time in 24 years,
Spain will be playing in the
European Championship Final. On Thursday, Spain easily defeated
Russia 3-0. Germany, on the other hand, defeated Turkey 3-2 on Wednesday night. Spain is on quite a run, they have
won 21 straight games. The only downside for Spain is they will have to beat
Germany without to star player
David Villa, who injured his thigh during Thursday's match. The final takes place on Sunday.
