Guitar Hero: On Tour :: DS Game Review
Does Activision’s Guitar Hero: On Tour rock the Nintendo DS? Find out with our game review.
The Guitar Hero games let you grab a great big plastic guitar-shaped video game controller and rock out with dozens of hit songs in the comfort of your living room. But, who wants to be a rock god at home when you can take the rock with you? Guitar Hero: On Tour for Nintendo DS lets you do it! It has a sweet Guitar Grip control and a bucket of fun. But it also has a crippling flaw. Get the 411 with Gary's game review.
Take the Rock on the RoadTo let you feel like you're really rocking, Guitar Hero: On Tour gives you a Guitar Grip controller that plugs into the GBA slot on your DS and gives you the fret buttons. Strum the touch screen as you play and you're ready. There are about 25 songs to play, a quick career mode and then multiplayer modes so you can rock with your friends.
Feel the RockNot only can you play with a fistful of rock 'n roll anywhere and anytime, you can play with your friends! The multiplayer modes let you challenge them to rock showdowns, or team up with them and face challenges like rock legends. It is the awesome and it will make you happy.
Feel the PainSeriously, you will. The Guitar Grip looks awesome and works at first, then it strains your hand so bad that if you don't take a break you can end up with carpal tunnel syndrome. Um, ouch? The tunes are weak too, they're great songs but they aren't full mp3 quality and you can tell.
Dare You Rock?Guitar Hero: On Tour is a great idea packed with awesome music and fun game modes. Then it gets hit in the head a few times with the baseball bat of hardware suckage. If you can play it without straining your hand, you'll have fun.
Available for: DS.
