Jennifer Lopez In Concert

Jan 04, 2019

Puerto Rico welcomed J. Lo for her first concert special. The one hour show featured Jennifer and her dancers struttin' their stuff, chatting to the audience and showing off her flashy costumes. Fans had the chance to see her perform some of her biggest hits live in concert - something she's never done before.

The show opened with Let's Get Loud as a '70s style sign that spelled "J. Lo" lit the back drop and video screens flashed words like "loud" and changed pics. The crowd waved Puerto Rican and American flags as they went nuts for their girl.

The fashion diva's hairstyle and make-up changed many times throughout the show. I wonder how many stylists were primping her between songs? I didn't see her hubby Cris Judd on the stage but he was the creative director/choreographer of the show.

Jennifer took a moment during the show to talk about playing latin singer Selena in the movie, Selena. She promised herself that if she had her own special she would pay tribute to Selena by singing her song I Could Fall In Love, and that's just what she did. The crowd loved it, the screens flashed pictures of Selena, and Jennifer even got a little emotional near the end.

The best performance of the night was Waiting For Tonight. She did the fast techno-ish version of the song as images of rain poured down the video screens and the dancing got wild! She performed most of her hits and mixed in a little Spanish now and then.

During a slower tune she wore a white flowing gown as she swung high above the stage on a swing as images of clouds mingled in the background. The night was a big success. Whether Jennifer's making music or movies she always gives 100 percent and it shows.

I think J. Lo is so cool. She sings well and could be a model for future kids.
