And, Yes. It is a sport. Like "Your Wifeyy" said If Cherring isn't then Golf should be eaither! Golf, All you do Is hit a ball into a whole. No need to work out at all or be in shape! Cheering you constanly have to be in shape!

I have been cheering for 4 years and I do consider it a sport. And yes cheerleading is dangerous when it involves tumbling and stunts. You have to be really careful when doing them. Its especially dangerous for the flyers because their at the most risk to get her.(my opinion.) I'm a flyer.

Cheerleading IS a sport. I mean, Football, Guys are in tights, cheerleading, Guys get to lift girls and, sadly, look up their skirts, which sounds more manly and sporty to you? Football players lift weights, reall athletes, like cheerleaders, lift people, Ive been a Competitive Cheerleader on an All-Star squad for quite some time now and if you say cheerleading isn't a sport, I have permission from UCLA instructors to slap you! I am a cheerleader on a special needs competitive team. Don't laugh or say I'm dumb, because I'm not. It's true that I'm on a competitive special needs cheer team. Anyway, I don't know why people say cheerleading isn't a sport. I pulled a muscle in my right leg once when I was doing a roundoff. Anyhow, cheerleading is fun, it should be a sport.
