Hatching Pete & Dadnapped DVD Reviews

The Disney Channel just released a double feature DVD showcasing two awesome movies, Hatching Pete and Dadnapped—both starring your favorite Disney Channel stars like Emily Osment, Moises Arias and Jason Earles! Check out Kidzworld’s review!


:: Hatching Pete ::

Pete (played by Jason Dolley) is a super shy kid who gets a chance to overcome his anxiety when his best friend Cleatus asks him to take his role as the school chicken mascot. Pete has a crush on Cleatus’ sister, Cammie, but when he tries to ask her out, he stammers and can’t get the words out—then he finds out she’s going out with the captain of the basketball team—bummer. Pete gets a surge of confidence when he wears the mascot costume and it helps him talk to another girl, Angela. They end up working on the parade float committee together and a little romance ensues—but will Pete be able to ovecome his shyness outside of the costume or will his confidence fly the coop?


:: Dadnapped ::

Melissa (played by Emily Osment of Hannah Montana fame) can’t get her preoccupied father to pay attention to her—he’s always too busy writing spy novels about Tripp Zoome, the fictional adventure hero of his best-selling book series, but when her dad gets kidnapped by some obsessive fans (played by Moises Arias and Jason Earles), it’s up to Melissa to channel her inner Zoome and rescue him.


:: Special Features ::

The double feature DVD comes with a few extras like Unmasking the Mascot where you find out what’s it’s really like to put on the chicken suit and prance around in public and Tripp Zoome: Off the Rails, an animated graphic novel featuring the fictional spy character from Dadnapped.
