A Brave Father

The day he was born, James T. Kirk’s father sacrificed his life to save hundreds. He crashed the USS Kelvin into an enemy Romulan ship, allowing his crew and family to escape. Now, over 20 years later, James is troubled, arrogant and too smart for his own good. Heeding the advice of Captain Pike (the captain of the USS Enterprise), James enlists in Starfleet Academy, following in his father’s footsteps.

A Romulan’s Revenge

James sneaks aboard the USS Enterprise when the crew investigates a distress call from the planet Vulcan. But the call turns out to be a Romulan trap, and the events that led to James's father’s death two decades ago begin to replay. The same Romulan ship is drilling to the center of planet Vulcan, planning to create a manmade black hole that will wipe out the entire planet. They blame Spock, a Vulcan, for the destruction of their own planet. And now they’re taking revenge. There’s only one problem: the destruction of planet Romulus hasn’t happened yet.

Fast Forward to the Future

One hundred twenty-five years in the future, a star explodes destroying planet Romulus. Spock tries to develop a manmade black hole that will absorb the shock of the exploding star. But he is too late. Instead, he and the surviving Romulan's are sucked through the black hole, sending them into the past.

A Must-See Film

Some worship it, and others hate it. No matter what category you fall into, you’ll love the new Star Trek movie. The film is rich with modern, laugh-out-loud humor, high action, and irresistible characters. Chris Pine plays a sassy James T. Kirk. And Zachary Quinto wins hearts with as the innocent, vulnerable Spock, whose emotions, while hidden, are brewing just beneath the surface. And best of all, the movie is super easy to follow! It’s made for absolutely everyone, even those who “don’t get the whole sci-fi thing.”
