Frankie Muniz stars in his first big screen movie, Big Fat Liar. Who better to play a sneaky character than Frankie Muniz? He's definitely had a lot of practice playing the mischievous Malcolm on Malcolm in the Middle.

Jason Shepherd (played by Frankie Muniz) is a 14 year-old boy who's told one too many lies. (Apparently he never heard the "boy who cried wolf" story.) When he finally does tell the truth - about writing a paper and leaving it in the limo of a famous Hollywood producer - his parents don't believe him.

So now he has to go to summer school cuz he didn't get the paper in on time. Oh yeah, and that sleaze bag, Hollywood producer, Marty Wolf (played by Paul Giamatti,) is using Jason's paper for his next movie - Big Fat Liar.

When Jason's parents go out of town for the weekend he convinces his best bud Kaylee (played by Amanda Bynes) to head to LA with him. The plan is to make Marty Wolf phone Jason's parents and tell them the truth cuz they don't believe Jason.

With the help of Kaylee, Jason devises a plan to torment the truth out of Wolf. They dump blue dye into his swimming pool, put glue on his cell phone ear piece and tons of other cool pranks that have Marty freakin'. One of the coolest parts of the flick is all the fun Kaylee and Jason have dressin' up and playing with props in a warehouse full of set decorations which becomes their homebase.

Big Fat Liar is a great family flick with lots of laughs and a positive message. So maybe if you clean up the house without your parents asking you to, you can convince them to take you to this flick.

Big Fat Liar Movie Rating: 4
