SkateFest and Sk8 For A Cause is back and bigger than ever! This is the third year in a row that the Fairfax Surf Shop in Fairfax, VA, has held the fundraiser in support of the Children’s Hospital Foundation in Washington, D.C.
Last year, over 500 spectators and 200
Plus, this year’s skate competition begins with preliminary tryouts June 19 at Wakefield Skate Park. There are three age brackets (10 and under, 14 and under, and 18 and under) and four event categories (half pipe, best trick, street course and FSS Skate Team tryout).
On the main festival day – June 20, 2009 – finals for the skate competition will start at 3 p.m. and be held throughout the day. Visit skatefestfairfax.com for more details and to register.
