Exciting news from Disney.com – the official website of The Happiest Place On Earth has just launched its U Rock 2 promo, which gives fans like the chance to create your very own music video set to your fave Disney artist’s song and post it on the U Rock site at http://www.disney.com/urock !
Crazy Cool Contest!
Not only will you have tons of fun thinking up and making your own music video set to a cool Disney-artist song, but once you upload your vid to the website other fans will get to vote on it. The most popular U Rock video finalists will win the ultimate rock star experience including a trip to Los Angeles, an in-studio "takeover" at Radio Disney, a visit to the set of a Disney Channel show and lots, lots more!
This year fans just like you will be able to vote for their favorite videos online and by texting UROCK to DISNEY (347639) from your cell phone. Just remember, texting may cost you a fee and you should always ask for your mom or dad’s permission before you make any phone alls or send any texts!
Song Selections
To make your music vid/contest entry just go to the U Rock website and pick your favorite Disney-artist song. Here are some of the song choices available to you:
- One And The Same by Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez from the Disney Channel Playlist CD, with exclusive music video available on the Princess Protection Program DVD
- Paranoid by Jonas Brothers from their upcoming album "Lies, Vines and Trying Times"
- Hey by Mitchel Musso from his self-titled album Mitchel Musso
- Ready to Rock by Steve Rushton featured in the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures' film G-Force
You have until July 12, 2009, to make and upload your music video. Finalists will be announced on July 17. After that, fans will be able to vote for the their favorite finalist until July 31.

Voting categories for the contest include:
- Rock of Fame: for the best overall video for each song on the list
- Tricked Out: for the video with the best graphics, editing and special effects
- Sweet Groove All Star: for the fan with the best dance moves
- Mega Pipes: for best singing
- Aww.some!: for the cutest rockers!
