The Story

When Princess Rosalina (Lovato) is threatened by an evil dictator who wants to take control of her country she's whisked away and put into the Princess Protection Program, a secret agency that watches over princesses in trouble.

Agent Mason of the Princess Protection Program hides Princess Rosalina in his own house. With the help of his daughter Carter (Gomez), Rosalina adopts the cover of an ordinary teen named Rosie.

As a regular kid attending Carter's school, Rosie learns that Carter is a pretty insecure tomboy who has an after-school job at a the local bait shop and dreams of going to the school dance with her crush and the hunkiest guy at school, Donny.

Rosie quickly becomes popular at school - something Carter struggles to accept - but the two girls also form a close bond as Carter helps Rosie transform into a normal teenager and Rosie shows Carter how to find the princess within herself.
