Just when you thought electronics couldn’t get any more sophisticated than touch screens, portable Youtube and sleek, razor-thin designs, something new hits the market—kids’ electronics like you’ve never seen before. Products so colourful, so deceptive, you won’t believe they’re not toys. They’re electronics...made of LEGO!

Electronics Made of LEGO

LEGO and Digital Blue have teamed up to add a touch of style and playfulness to the world of portable music, digital photography and more. This summer, they will release a line of MP3 Players, Digital Cameras, Video Cameras, Walkie Talkies, Boom Boxes and Alarm Clock Radios, all with the colourful LEGO brick design.

Brick MP3 Players

There are two different MP3 Player designs, both holding 2GBs of storage. One is designed to look like a 2 x 4 LEGO brick. It comes in 5 different colors: Red, White, Blue, Green and Yellow. It works just like any MP3 player: connect the provided cable to your computer’s USB to charge. The other has a multi-brick design complete with LCD displays. It comes in two color combos: red, blue, green and yellow bricks, and for girls light pink and dark pink bricks.

What's the Verdict?

Now, you may be disappointed to hear that the LEGO bricks won’t actually come apart. But look on the bright side; if you drop it, it won’t fall to pieces. These products are cleverly and stylishly designed, and they don’t cost very much either! Prices will range from only $19 to $60 once they’re launched. So if you don’t have a birthday coming up, take advantage of the sunny weather and mow some lawns. It won’t take long to save up for these colourful new gadgets.
