Check out the following yet-to-be-released games for Nintendo Wii, which were unveiled to members of the media on June 26. These exciting new video game experiences will be coming to store shelves soon, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled!
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
On store shelves for the holidays 2009, this is a game Nintendo developers have dreamed of creating for years – a simultaneous multiplayer Super Mario Bros. The Wii console makes that dream come true, letting you navigate the side scrolling worlds alone or invite up to three others to play with you at the same time on the same level at any point in the game for competitive and cooperative multiplayer fun. And it’s your choice whether you want to pick your friends up to save them from danger or toss them right into it! The game includes playable characters Mario, Luigi and two Toads, and many others from the Mushroom Kingdom appear throughout the game. You can even ride different Yoshi characters and use their tongues to swallow enemies – or your fellow players. In some areas of play you’ll use the motion abilities of the Wii Remote controller. A slight shake of the Remore, for example, will activate the new propeller suit item and shoot you high into the sky.
Wii Fit Plus
Coming this fall, the new Wii Fit Plus offers a range of new features and enhancements to help you shake up your workout routine. It includes exercises and balance games designed to keep fitness fun. You can set your own customized workout routine or choose 20, 30 or 40 minute workouts based on how much time you have. New additions include activities like Skateboarding and Rhythm Kung Fu, and you’ll be able to use the new Wii Balance Board accessory for tons more workout fun.
Other new features include:
