So You Think You Can Dance Winner, Jeanine

This week on So You Think You Can Dance, the top 4 dancers competed for the title of America’s Favorite Dancer. They traveled to Hollywood to perform in the impressive Kodak Theatre.

Performances

The top 4 opened the show with a sassy high school number where they acted like cheerleaders and jocks.

Jeanine and Evan kicked off the couples performances with a routine by Sonya. Evan played a man trying to keep his girl. But Jeanine’s strength made her stand out more than Evan, said the judges.

Kayla and Brandon tackled a Broadway routine in which Brandon was a hospital patient. The judges said there’s nothing Kayla can’t do. Both are “superhero dancers,” and fabulous, strong partners.

Brandon and Evan dance together for the first time. It was a battle to win the title, but according to the judges “Evan got dusted.” Evan tried to be strong and nasty, but he’s just too sweet compared to the rough and tough, Brandon.

Jeanine and Kayla performed a beautiful Mia Michaels contemporary in which they shredded layers of their costumes like layers of their soul. The judges thought it was absolutely stunning.

Kayla and Evan performed the quickest Jive ever. Even though the Jive was very close to Evan’s style, the judges felt that Kayla stole the show once again.

Brandon and Jeanine concluded this season’s performances with the strongest, toughest Paso Doble that this show has ever seen. Nigel believed that that number would put them in the top 2. And he was right.

America’s Favorite Dancer Is…

On the elimination show, the top 20 dancers returned to perform some of this season’s most memorable dances. In the end, Jeanine was voted America’s Favorite Dancer. Here are the standings:

1st place: Jeanine

2nd place: Brandon

3rd place: Evan

4th place: Kayla
