The Beatles: Rock Band :: Xbox 360 Game Review
The Beatles live on in the newest Rock Band game that is both a sequel to the game and a tribute to one of the greatest bands of all time.
The Beatles is considered by most to be the greatest band of all time, being the original rock band and influencing all that came after them. It is only appropriate that they are the first featured title band for a game called Rock Band. Who else can fill an entire game with 45 [KWLINK 18751]hit songs[/KWLINK], each better than the last?
The Fab Four and More
The Beatles: Rock Band is not just Rock Band with songs by the Beatles. Aside from having all the greatest hits of the Fab Four, without filler songs from other bands getting in the way, Rock Band has also been upgraded with harmonic vocal tracks, allowing up to three people to sing different parts of the song together and allowing up to six players to play together at the same time. Experienced players can also try to follow in the footsteps of the Beatles and sing while playing an instrument.
As well, there are plenty of game modes to enjoy, including Quick Play, Tug of War, Score Duel, and Story Mode. Story Mode replaces the Career campaign and acts as a kind of documentary, letting you play through the history the Beatles at some of their better known venues. The bright and cartoony graphics present throughout the game fits the Beatles well, being similar to those used for Yellow Submarine.
Hey Jude Won't Let You Down
The Beatles: Rock Band is an incredible play through and is officially approved by the surviving Beatles. Older players, including grandparents, will enjoy this game because it is the Beatles! They will know most of the lyrics and will be able to sing along. As well, younger players will enjoy the game because it is Rock Band and they will get a wonderful introduction to the greatest band of all time. Highly Recommended for anyone.
