Battle For Terra: Exclusive Clip

Coming September 22, 2009, on DVD is a brand-new animated film called Battle For Terra. Like other amazing animated movies that take place in outer space or on planets or worlds other than Earth (see our Top 5 Out Of This World Animated Films story), Battle For Terra provides the kind of entertainment that defies gravity!

The Story

Battle For Terra is a thrilling sci-fi animated film that’s both visually stunning and action-packed – it’s guaranteed to be a real crowd pleaser, no matter how old you are! Basically, the peaceful inhabitants of the beautiful planet Terra come under attack from the last surviving members of humanity adrift in an aging spaceship. This sets the stage for an all-out war between the two species for control of the planet. But will an unlikely friendship between a rebellious young Terrian and an injured human pilot somehow convince their leaders that war is not the answer?

The “Characters”

The film features an all-star voice cast, including Luke Wilson, Evan Rachel Wood, Dennis Quaid, Danny Glover and James Garner. Some of the characters you’ll meet when you watch Battle For Terra are Senn and Mala, two rebellious alien teens from Terra who, like the rest of the citizens, believe in and promote peace and tolerance.

'We prefer to do things comfortably.'But I don't want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin.'In fact,' said Mustapha Mond, 'you're claiming the right to be unhappy. Not to mention the right to grow old and ugly and impotent; the right to have ######## and cancer, the right to have too little to eat; the right to be lousy; the right to live in constant apprehension of what may happen tomorrow; the right to catch typhoid; the right to be tortured by unspeakable pains of every kind.' There was a long silence.I claim them all,' said the Savage at last.Mustapha Mond shrugged his shoulders. 'You're welcome,' he said.”  I freaking LOVE Brave New World! It's one of the best books I've ever read, and that conversation between the Controller and John is my favorite part  [s:sm3/1jw1]
