Where The Wild Things Are :: Wii Game Review

Where the Wild Things Are is a classic book that brings a magical world to life with only a few sentences. Think the game can do the same? Find out!

Fun-Filled Adventure

It's hard sometimes to believe that a story with 10 whole sentences could possibly create a full-length movie and an awesome game. But really, who wouldn't want to be crowned "King of All Wild Things"? Where the Wild Things Are brings the story of a young boy who is trying to save his friends island all the fun and adventure that any player would want. In the game, you get to play as Max, the "King of All Wild Things" and the main character in the book. Players must help Max overcome obstacles, solve puzzles and discover the mystery behind why the Wild Things island is about to be destroyed!

What Do You Do?

While trying to figure out how to save the Wild Things home, players will run, jump, climb, glide, fly and swing over the island, avoid obstacles and battle fierce creatures with Max's trusty scepter. On your way you will get to make friends and team-up with the lovable Wild Things to solve puzzles and learn new skills and abilities to help them on their way. With easy controls playing the game is as easy as pie and makes playing the game fun.

One of the best features of the game is finding the Wild Things village. Once you find the village you can play mini-games, talk with the other Wild Things and find exciting new missions. This makes the game easy to play because a ton of stuff can be found in one spot.

Is It Wild Enough?

You can't beat a great action/adventure game where the controls are easy and the story is based on a great book. Unfortunately the game is pretty short, around 5 - 6 hours depending on how good you are. If you like your games to be short, sweet and simple though, this is the game for you. With tons of hidden objects to find, and tons of fun with the Wild Things, you're sure to enjoy being "King of All Wild Things". (And it's not a bad price either!)
