I don't believe in hunting for sport. However, hunting for survival, and with due respect for the animal (quickest death you can give)-I have no issue with, nor if you're hunting to eliminate a legitimate threat (ex. rabid coyote).

I never knew you, Never once gazed upon your face, Never heard your voice, the sound of your laughter You never passed me by in the hallways- Or maybe you did, but we wouldn’t remember. I was a freshman, you a senior. A soccer player, while you were in the marching band That October night, when the call went out, All I knew was your name The name of someone who I shared a building with for months, Yet our paths were never to meet. When the school fell silent for many days, When no one spoke a word, the air dense, heavy, I couldn’t share in the pain of your friends, your family Body numb at the sight of your flower-strewn car spot, Limbs frozen, mouth choked as the school came together as one, Flickering candles resisting the bitter bite of the wind. Fly high, brother. For you may be gone, but you are a Thunderbird, and we will never forget.
