Reilly Dolman Q&A

May 05, 2010

Reilly Dolman stars in the new DVD Flicka 2. Check out the Q&A session Kidzworld recently had with the young actor!

KW: We love that you were born in Vancouver (Kidzworld is based in Vancouver, too)! Do you miss the city and how often do you come back to visit?

Reilly: Every time I leave I miss it! But, actually, I still live here! Vancouver is such a beautiful place and we're all so lucky that its our "Home base."

KW: How did you get into acting? Has it always been a passion for you? Did you take any acting lessons or classes when you were growing up?

Reilly: I, as it would seem many others like myself, just kind of fell into it. My interest in the film industry started in the last couple years of high school for me, where I participated in a digital media course. Although I wasn't officially a part of the class and was not being graded, the class was a major catalyst in my intrigue for film. I never took classes in my younger years, but if I had known how beneficial it would have been in years to come I may have signed myself up earlier!

KW: Before Flicka 2, what other films/TV shows did you work on?

Reilly: Bionic Woman, The Troop and Supernatural.

KW: How do you feel about animals? Do you have any pets?

Reilly: Well I love animals, who doesn't!? And yes, I do have two dogs who are a little too smart for their own good.

KW: Do you love horses? What was it like working with horses on the set of Flicka 2?

Reilly: Horses are just such amazing animals. The intelligence that they display is mind-blowing in itself and then you have their stature which can be intimidating to some. You really have to be very confident when around them because they're very empathic and can pick up on the slightest emotional inconsistency. Truly though, if you let a horse into your heart he or she will do the same and the friendship will be more than fruitful.
