Skate 3, 3D Dot Game Heroes, and Rocket Knight

May 07, 2010

Keep up-to-date with all the latest video game releases! Kidzworld has all the latest games to keep watch for. This week, we preview Skate 3, 3D Dot Game Heroes, and Rocket Knight!

Skate 3

The leading skateboarding games for the last three years, Skate is back this week with a boatload of new features you can shred with. First off, you can now play single-player objectives with a little help from your friends online, through new team gameplay. You can even make your own team graphic and have all your friends put it on their boards and shirts. You can now create your own skate park in the new game world, Port Carverton. There's now a "Hardcore Mode" that tightens up the physics and makes things a little tougher and more realistic, and darkslides and a few other new tricks are added in.

3D Dot Game Heroes

3D Dot Game Heroes is a bit like an old-school Zelda game, but with all the pixels made 3D in a really crazy way you'll have to see to understand. You customize your own character and sword with the game's 3D pixel creator, and send him out to save the doomed Dotnia Kingdom. Clearing out dungeons, solving puzzles, finding new equipment, and beating up monsters is classic gameplay with a new twist, a really cool Playstation 3 exclusive.

Rocket Knight

Sparkster, the Rocket Knight, is an opossum hero from the olden days of gaming, unseen or heard of since 1994. Well, Konami is putting him right back in the action with a downloadable title for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 this week. This platformer game revival lets you grab your sword and jetpack and take the fight to the evil wolf army. Dodging obstacles, jumping at just the right time, and swordfighting the enemies, you get through each level on your own time in freeplay mode, or do it with no save spots in hardcore mode if you are indeed hardcore.
