Nickelodeon Celebrates Black History Month 2010

In honor of Black History Month, Nickelodeon is celebrating prominent African Americans throughout February 2010, on Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Nick at Nite, TeenNick, Nicktoons, Nick.com and NickJr.com. Watch teens perform their own poetry about inspirational African Americans!

  • Bessie Coleman: First African American to earn an international pilot’s license

  • Ruby Bridges: First African American child to attend an all-white school in the South
  • CJ Walker: Businesswoman
  • Ella Fitzgerald: Jazz vocalist
  • Jack Johnson: Heavyweight boxer

I think torturing isn't justified, no matter the situation. Even if these people torture others, by torturing them we are as bad as them, we are lowering ourselves down to their level. There are better ways to deal with people and they should be used.
