Get into crazy rolling action like never before with Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll! Read our review and see just how super the game really is!

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz was one of the better games available when the Wii first came out. Now, three years later, the sequel is finally ready! All the cute monkeys from the previous game are back, along with new friends and mini-games in Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll. Also new are the controls for the game, as you can now control your rolling with the Wii Balance Board!

They See Me Rolling

Just like in Banana Blitz, you can use the motion controls of the Wiimote to move your Monkey Ball around the stage and collect as many bananas as you can before crossing the finish line as fast as possible. However, in Step & Roll, you can also choose to use the Balance Board accessory. Simply stand on it and lean towards the direction that you want your Monkey Ball to go.

If you are playing through the main game with a partner, your co-pilot gets to use a Wiimote to shoot at obstacles that get in your way, similar to Super Mario Galaxy. If you are playing by yourself, these obstacles will not appear.

Fun and Games

Besides the main game, there is a mirror mode, marathon mode, and lots of mini-games! Step & Roll includes many of the best mini-games from the previous game and includes a bunch of new ones as well, including Firefighter, Ninja Stomp, Skydiving, and Sumo Smash. For these mini-games, however, only one Balance Board is detected by the game, so everybody else will have to use a Wiimote to play.

Good Times Roll

Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll is great game that is fun to play on your own, with a friend, or with a whole party! It keeps everything that has made the series great and adds a lot of new and interesting elements to the mix. Well recommended.
