Fashion Police: BET Awards 2010

Last night there were some definite fashion mishaps on the red carpet at the 2010 BET Awards! Not as dressy or formal as the Grammys or the American Music Awards, stars wore what they wanted, some with better results than others! There were some definite moments where our jaws dropped, especially when Brittany Daniel walked down the carpet in a scary black gown with too many cut outs - that's just too revealing no matter how "casual" the event might be (we'll show you below)! Eek! Queen Latifah hosted and Chris Brown performed a memorable tribute to Michael Jackson that had everyone a bit teary-eyed! The fashion ranged from TOO casual (Pharrell showed up in denim cut-off shorts?!) to ballgown (Nicki Minaj in a white bridal style dress) - we just never knew what we to expect and we weren't disappointed! Best Dressed

Alicia Keyes was positively glowing in a white floor length grecian style gown and loose hair! Ashanti went haute couture on us and had on a beautiful red gown with origami detailing on the sleeves. Stunning! Queen Latifah sparkled onstage in a one shouldered black sparkly dress and Ciara wowed us with an amazing black and gold heavily embellished dress straight from the runway (Balmain). Her cool high heel ankle boots made it even more high fashion and looked just like how it was styled on the catwalk! Taraji P. Henson chose a pretty shade of lilac for her cocktail dress and heels. And how cute did Brandy look in her pale grey knit detail dress? Simple and stylish! Fergie rocked a black and white mini dress - which makes it easy for her to match with the rest of the members of Black Eyed Peas!

Worst Dressed

Oh boy - where do we begin?! Who told Jada Pinkett Smith that it was ok to walk around at an event with no pants on? Don't get us wrong, we love mini skirts and short dresses but this is taking it too far! Brittany Daniel wore a monstrosity of a dress - the entire dress was made out of cutouts and we saw far more than we wanted to! Not appropriate for ANY red carpet[/kwlink] event - scary! Nicki Minaj seemed a bit confused in her white gown - pairing such a delicate gown with orange hair and teal eyeshadow isn't a good idea for anyone. Keri Hilson went way overboard with the leopard print - and pairing so much leopard with sky high stiletto heels always manages to look a bit tacky in our eyes! Pharell showed up in denim cut-off shorts - it's an awards show, not a car wash ok? Sheesh!
