Sunshine Picklelime Book Review

We LOVE this new book - Sunshine Picklelime - by Pamela Ellen Ferguson! It’s about something tons of people struggle with (and an issue lots of kids write to Dear Dish-it about: finding happiness and meaning in this roller-coaster called life.

Seeking Sunshine

The main character in this book is named PJ Picklelime. She’s a pretty neat kid who can talk to the birds, hear bells ringing in a woman’s curls and spot moonbows in the night sky. But when one of PJ’s closest friends dies and her mom and dad decide to separate, she’s got to find a way to understand all the bad things that are happening around her so she can find her “sunshine” again.

I'm not saying humans should be tested on. There are alternatives where humans and animals are both not tested on such as "Organs on chips" which basically mimics the structure and function of human cells and tissues and they have been proved to replicate human medical responses more accurately than animal experiments do. There's also another alternative which is cell and tissue models that are used to access the safety of medicines as they replicate key traits of normal human skin. Besides not all animals react the same way as humans depending on different medicine types. There's various alternatives being used now that don't harm animals in anyway. I believe humans and animals are equal in fact we all come from the same kingdom so why should they be treated any different?

Woah, okay so, years ago when I was 12,13 maybe, I started this story and remembering it and finding it on here (with a different account,of course) is amazing, so if anyone wants too, I can maybe restart it? Or I can rewrite it, either way just say if you want me too!!!

Uniforms - other kids can't see your taste in fashion and you don't stand out by what you wear, AND they can't judge you if you're different. With uniforms, people are being judged on their personalities, not the brands that they wear.
