Ariel Winter has been in show business since she could walk—some of her first commercials were shot when she was still a toddler! Her sweet voice is perfect for animation. Ariel has voiced characters in Bambi 2, Curious George and more recently Phineas and Ferb where she played one of the Fireside Girls, the quick-witted Gretchen.
Alex On Modern Family
Ariel scored big when she landed the role of Alex Dunphy, the snarky, over-achieving middle Dunphy child on ABC’s hit show, Modern Family. Ariel has said she has a lot in common with her character with one big exception—Ariel doesn’t really need glasses, she just wears them as Alex!

When she’s not acting, Ariel likes writing and recording songs. Ariel says her sound is influenced by artists like Selena Gomez, Madonna, Beyonce and Lady Gaga. - “If I was stuck on a desert island with only three things, I would choose a grocery store, a library, and my family. I need to eat, I love to read, and I can’t be without my family.”
- “I don’t consider acting a job. Its so much fun! When I am not acting, I chill with my friends. We go to the movies, we go shopping, and we jump on my trampoline. My dad also likes to throw BBQs.”
