The Fabled Fifth Graders of Aesop Elementary School

In The Fabled Fifth Graders of Aesop Elementary School - the hilarious sequel to the 2007 hit The Fabled Fourth Graders of Aesop Elementary School - Mr. Jupiter's class is baaack - a year older, but as quirky as ever!

The Moral of the Story

When Mr. Jupiter's class returns as fifth graders for the new school year, they're definitely a year older, but they're just as, well, let's say UNUSUAL as ever before! In fact, they stand out from the rest of the kids from the very first day of school, when they're spotted in the hallway wearing ram's horn headdresses...just like their teacher. The moral of the story? Birds of a feather flock together!

Get it now? The FABLED Fifth Graders of AESOP Elementary School is about fables - just like the famous Aesop told. And in this new book by Candace Fleming the wacky Grade 5s and their ever-fearless teacher are all about teaching you some valuable lessons through each of the 12 stories contained in the book. Pretty cool, we think!

LOL Stories

Follow along as the 10-year-old heroes of this book learn to do weird body tricks, conjure up a rain storm and care for a pet Burmese guinea pig. It may be all about learning some of the most important lessons in life but, hey, who said you couldn't have fun doing it?!

((Papyrus is so nervous, he can't decide, so he asks if PunMaster wants to choose.)) Wow, is Blueberry naïve? My friend's soul is purple, monster souls are white. "Yes, it does look odd, doesn't it?" As fast as I can, I button up my jacket. "Don't tell anyone. Especially not your brother. I fear he would not think well of me." Papyrus's assuming of anything would most likely not play out in my favour.

Blue stared at the glow, his blue eyes large. "Is that your soul?" He asked curiously. "It looks a bit odd..." He commented, his head tilting to the side like a dog's. Proof he spent a lot of time around the dogs, to be picking up on little actions like that. (PunMaster smiled, and sat down, gently helping Papyrus sit as well, and she let him choose the puzzle)

(("I-I... I guess so..." Papyrus, from lack of social interaction, stumbled over his words like a small child. But he was smiling. If you looked very close, you could see a tear in his eye.)) "I've honestly never had the time for them... But I'll give it a shot..." I really had plenty of free time, but I never cared about puzzles much. Unfortunately, during our romp around the Underground, my coat had come un-done. The reason I wear my coat is to hide the glow of my friend, but now she was pulsing with light. Too late to hide it from Blueberry's stare.
