Destinee Monroe and her younger sister Paris always knew they wanted to form a band, but it wasn’t until they met Ariel Moore in high school that the three girls formed the all-girl group, Clique!
Clique Girls
A chance meeting with Howie D from the Backstreet Boys set the girls on the road to stardom. With a small name change—from Clique to Clique Girlz—Destinee, Paris and Ariel were signed to Interscope Records!
Destined For Fame
As the rocking member of Clique Girls, Destinee opened for the Jonas Brothers, the Cheetah Girls and even Demi Lovato. The Clique Girlz’s first album, Incredible, was a huge success when it was released in Japan in 2008. Destinee and the girls made appearances on The Today Show, walked the red carptet at the Grammy Awards and released music videos for “You Think,” “Incredible” and “Then I Woke Up.”
When Ariel Moore left the Clique Girls in January 2009, the Monroe sisters kept it going with a new name—Destinee and Paris!

A big part of Destinee’s success comes from her edgy style. “Remember to be yourself,” Destinee advises. “But it never hurts to add a little sparkle!”
