The Vampire Diaries :: Season 2, Episode 10
Too Much Magic
After a short hiatus the Vampire Diaries returned with an action-packed episode. This week’s episode began with Stefan and Damon teaming up to think of a new plan to capture the moonstone. They discovered that the curse can be released from the moonstone, which would render Elena useless to the original vampires. In order to get into the tomb and fight Katherine for the moonstone, they rely on Bonnie to cast a spell to weaken Katherine’s power.
Unfortunately, Bonnie’s strength has been weakening every time she uses magic. After she confides in Luka about her dwindling power, he teaches her how to channel his magical energy. Jeremy still worries about Bonnie’s health, and heads into the tomb himself to grab the moonstone. Unfortunately, Jeremy is no match for Katherine, and after much taunting, Stefan storms into the tomb to rescue Jeremy.

Suicide Mission
Elena stops relying on Stefan and Damon to protect her and finally takes things into her own hands. She convinces Rose to help her send a message to Klaus telling him that she is surrendering. Instead of waiting for him to kill her family and friends, Elena decides to sacrifice herself. Fortunately, Damon finds out about Elena’s suicide mission just in time to save her.
The Transformation
With a full moon quickly approaching, Tyler starts to worry about his transformation into a werewolf. Caroline and Tyler stumble across the diary Mason used to chronicle his original transformation, and discover a flash drive that contains a video of the transformation. They watch the movie and Tyler realizes that he is in for more than he expected.
