90210 Season 3 Episode 11 Recap

Dec 06, 2010

Adrianna is the ultimate diva. She walks, talks, dresses and spends money like a spoiled brat who thinks she’s better than everyone else. Despite Victor’s warnings, Adrianna buys a mansion, locking her into 6 months of $20,000 payments. Adrianna’s attitude gets really out of hand, especially when she discards people’s thoughtful Christmas presents. When she cuts Victor’s commission in half, Victor snaps. He steals the songbook that Adrianna originally stole from Javier, and exposes her lies to the world.

The Inevitable Kiss

Adrianna’s fame and hotheadedness has blinded her from seeing Navid’s feelings for Silver. At first Silver denies that his feelings are reciprocated. But by the end of the episode, she can’t deny it any longer. Silver and Navid share their first kiss at Adrianna’s Christmas party.

Cheater, Cheater, Pumpkin Eater!

After getting beat up by a group of guys, Liam winds up in the hospital. Hearing this news makes Annie realize that she still has feelings for Liam. She and Dixon invite him to stay at their house while he heals. But after Liam admits that he’s in love with Annie, she cracks. One kiss leads to one night of passion, and probably a whole lot of guilt. She cheated on Charlie with his own brother!

Unforgivable

What Ivy’s mother did was unforgivable. So Ivy calls her dad hoping to be in touch with one parent she can trust. He even invites Ivy to spend Christmas with his new family. But it turns out that his invite was only to get out of paying for Ivy’s college expenses. Ivy runs back to her mother realising that maybe her mistake is forgivable after all.

Teddy Admits the Truth

Teddy knows he’s gay. He tells Ian that he wants to be in a relationship with him. But he’s not ready to tell the world. Unfortunately, Dixon spots Teddy and Ian kissing. The world will know the truth sooner than he thinks.

Cheating - Is It Cool Or Cruel?

  • As long as you don't get caught, it's cool.
  • Totally not cool.
  • It's not that big of a deal.
  • I think it depends on the situation.

Many of the reviews and critics say it's bad because they are only looking at it from 'comic to movie' perspective. It was still a really cool movie and you should go see it. I'd have to agree with this. The movie itself was great. I think some people looked at it poorly because they were expecting something more similar to the older films or comparing it too hard to the comics. I personally think that it was a great way to reinvent some of the characters.

"It's so hard to talk when you want to k-ll yourself. That's above and beyond everything else, and it's not a mental complaint-it's a physical thing, like it's physically hard to open your mouth and make the words come out. They don't come out smooth and in conjunction with your brain the way normal people's words do; they come out in chunks as if from a crushed-ice dispenser; you stumble on them as they gather behind your lower lip. So you just keep quiet.” Ned Vizzini, "It's Kind of a Funny Story"

“Isn't there something in living dangerously?' There's a great deal in it,' the Controller replied. 'Men and women must have their adrenals stimulated from time to time.' What?' questioned the Savage, uncomprehending. It's one of the conditions of perfect health. That's why we've made the V.P.S. treatments compulsory.' V.P.S.?' Violent Passion Surrogate. Regularly once a month. We flood the whole system with adrenin. It's the complete physiological equivalent of fear and rage. All the tonic effects of murdering Desdemona and being murdered by Othello, without any of the inconvenience.' But I like the inconveniences.' We don't,' said the Controller. 'We prefer to do things comfortably.' But I don't want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin.' In fact,' said Mustapha Mond, 'you're claiming the right to be unhappy. Not to mention the right to grow old and ugly and impotent; the right to have ######## and cancer, the right to have too little to eat; the right to be lousy; the right to live in constant apprehension of what may happen tomorrow; the right to catch typhoid; the right to be tortured by unspeakable pains of every kind.' There was a long silence. I claim them all,' said the Savage at last. Mustapha Mond shrugged his shoulders. 'You're welcome,' he said.”

"There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory, and though I can hide my cold gaze and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable: I simply am not there."
