Union Gospel Mission Toy Donation

Dec 13, 2010

Kidzworld recently made a large donation of brand-new, never-used toys, books and video games to Vancouver’s Union Gospel Mission (UGM) for its Gifts of Hope Christmas Hamper program.

As a safe, content-driven website for kids and tweens ages nine to 14, Kidzworld receives tons of toys, book and games throughout the year for review. Each holiday season we donate all the items that have collected in our office throughout the year to a worthy cause. This year we’re happy that all these brand-new toys, books and games will be given to kids throughout Metro Vancouver through UGM’s Christmas Hamper program.

“Our Gifts of Hope hamper program would not be possible without the support of … corporate partners,” states the UGM website. “Items … donated to UGM’s Christmas Hamper program will make Christmas brighter for families in desperate need this season. Some have struggled with homelessness this year; some are fighting just to keep a roof over their heads. No matter their circumstances, there’s no doubt your generosity will mean so much to parents who worried they wouldn’t be able to provide for their families this season.”

What Goes Into a Christmas Hamper?

  • Here are some of the items that go into a UGM Christmas Hamper:
  • Food
  • Gift cards

The state of being offensive is subject to whether it is offensive, or if one would take offense to it. Quite honestly I would say yes, it is offensive, because it is offensive. But not because people find it offending emotionally, but find it offensive socially.
