Video Game Addiction
Video game addiction is real. You might not think it is as bad as drugs, alcohol or gambling… but think again. If you live your life having fun playing video games all the time, you might just forget about your real life being a video game addict.
With video games, all your deepest fantasies come true. You can be a war hero, a superstar athlete, an alien from another world… the list goes on. Video games are so much fun! Actually, they are too much fun. There are so many stories of people so addicted to video games that they refuse to go to school... do their homework... and eventually they forget about their friends and family.
Have you ever been sitting at your computer playing World of Warcraft or some other role-playing game, and a few hours goes by in the blink of an eye? That’s a good sign right there to let you know just how much time you can waste without any control.
Video games are designed to make you want to play more and more and then when you spend so much time playing more and more, you don’t want to stop or you will feel like you wasted all that time for nothing, so you play more and more… it’s a never ending cycle!!!
Friday Night Fun
Video games are great for fun… in moderation. That means that you should only play them a few hours a week. There’s nothing wrong spending a Friday night with your friends ordering pizza, watching some TV and playing some video games. Video games can be a great way to spend time joking and having fun with friends.
One of the biggest problems video game addicts run into is gaining weight. By sitting around your computer all day playing video games, it’s obvious that you aren’t going to get much exercise. Do you really want to find yourself overweight one day? Becoming overweight might sneak up on you without you even knowing it and then you’re trapped with other problems:
