Patapon 3, Rabbids Travel in Time, and Rio

Apr 09, 2011

Keep up-to-date with all the latest video game releases! Kidzworld has all the latest games to keep watch for. This week, we preview Patapon 3, Rabbids Travel in Time, and Rio!

Patapon 3

Patapon 3 is the first in the instant classic rhythm strategy game series for the PSP to allow you to control a single warrior directly, rather than generally controlling a group of soldiers. Your tribe is now more about individual heroes taking on the baddies, and with up to three friends, you can all go adventuring together and simultaneously progress in your own individual stories. Online support like clans with their own logos just spices things up even more, and the core gameplay and the music in particular cannot be beat.

Rabbids Travel in Time

The latest Rabbids party game, previously released for the Wii, is now available on the brand new 3DS, letting you take those ridiculous Rabbids through time to wreak havoc. This time, the main action comes in the form of a platformer, letting you take on the four historical periods present in beautiful glasses-free 3D. Jungle, desert, and castle areas all present you with obstacles to kick, break, and jump past, and you can even customize your Rabbid's look based on the styles he finds through time.

Rio

Based on the upcoming film, Rio lets you choose to play as either Blu, Jewel, Nico, Pedro, Eva, or Raphael as you play with your friends at 40 different mini-games. Five different modes let you compete to win at the Carnival Ceremony, with players able to jump in and out of the running at any time for total ease of play. The DS version offers gameplay unique to that of the big consoles, instead of a party game letting you catch the latin rhythm by tapping your stylus on the screen with the rhythm.
