Thor: God of Thunder

Fun fact: This is actually Thor's first video game. I mean how could that be true? Even the Silver Surfer got a game back in 1990, though it was really terrible. We can go ahead and say that Thor: God of Thunder, due out this week for every major console, will be about a million times better than that Silver Surfer game, coming out to accompany the upcoming summer blockbuster. Wield the mighty hammer Mjolnir and level up your abilities so you can experience the entire new, original storyline crafted just for this game.

MDK 2

Actually a re-release of an older title, an oddball and awesome third-person shooter called MDK 2 is coming to your Wii this week. An intergalactic menace is threatening Earth (not again, right?) and you control three different heroes to defeat them: a janitor-turned-super hero, a six-legged dog thing, and a mad scientist. I have already heard enough, I want to play this game right now.

Mount & Blade: With Fire and Sword

The latest edition of the awesome medieval combat series Mount & Blade has jumped ahead a bit in history to provide a detailed look at an interesting period: 17th-century Eastern Europe. Now hold on, I know it sounds boring, but don't ignore it! This period has some of the most awesome combat in history with horsemen carrying lances and pistols at the same time, explosives set by spearmen to take out castles or trenches, it's basically like a mix of every other cool thing ever. Add in multiple endings, a sandbox mode in which you control your own fully customizeable personal mercenary armies, and an awesome combat engine, and I guarantee you'll start liking the 17th century soon enough.
