Pretty Little Liars: Season 2, Episode 5 :: The Devil You Know

Jul 11, 2011

This week on Pretty Little Liars (Season 2, Episode 5), ‘A’ gets back to her old meddling ways and Aria’s relationship with Ezra is on the rocks. Check out Kidzworld’s recap of The Devil You Know, which aired on July 12, 2011, for all the details.

Taking Notes

In this week’s episode of Pretty Little Liars, ‘A’ is at the forefront, stirring up all kinds of trouble for the girls. Emily receives a text from ‘A’ saying, “Is it just me, or does that suicide note look familiar?” Turns out Ian did not write the suicide note, ‘A’ did. Coincidentally, Emily stumbles upon Logan, the guy who delivered money for Ian on last season’s final episode. But, Logan says he wasn’t doing it for Ian, but for a girl (who he never met, but only talked to on the phone). The girls start to suspect that maybe Ian wasn’t guilty after all.

New Beginnings

Ever since their double date last week, Hanna and Caleb have been trying to work on their friendship. But, as she says, “One fake date does not a relationship make.” Despite her doubts, Hanna finds herself giving in to Caleb’s advances. When he opens up to her about his foster mom, Hanna steps up and helps him out. The reward? A totally hot make-out session. Looks like this couple is back in the game.

Possibilities

Now that Ezra is no longer teaching at the high school, he and Aria are free to be open about their relationship. But, he still has doubts about going public, causing Aria to worry about his dedication to their relationship. When Alison’s brother Jason starts paying more attention to her, Aria finds herself being drawn in. Jason confesses that he thought he might have killed his sister. Apparently the night of Alison’s death Jason blacked out and woke up to a note that said, “I know what you did.” Since Aria knows Ian’s confession wasn’t real, this could still be a possibility. After the funeral the girls pay a visit to Alison’s grave, where a film is being played on a mausoleum. It is the video from the night of Alison’s death, but this time it continues longer than before, and shows Alison alive at the end.

What does this mean? When was Alison killed? Stay tuned for more Pretty Little Liars.
