X Games 17: Real Street Preview

The X Games 17 is happening in Los Angeles, California, from July 28 to July 31. The big event that everyone is talking about for the second year in a row is called “Real Street” - find out what it is right here on Kidzworld!

Real Street Returns

Real Street returns to the X games and it’s got some pretty sweet competition. Sixteen of the world’s best street skateboarders have submitted a 60-second video for a shot at $50,000 and an X Games gold medal. Competing this year are:

  • Dylan Rieder
  • Darrell Stanton
  • Joey Brezinski
  • Tom Asta
  • Anthony Schultz
  • Zered Bassett
  • Eli Reed
  • Brandon Westgate
  • Ryan Decenzo
  • Louie Barletta
  • Billy Marks
  • Silas Baxter-Neal
  • Tony Tave
  • Guru Khalsa

After the videos air on ABC on Saturday, July 30, a panel of judges and respected pros will pick the winning part. The top four judges’ picks will also be invited to L.A. to compete for another [kwlink ]X Games medal and $5,000 in a Game of S.K.8, airing live on ESPN2 on Sunday, July 31.

All 16 videos are currently posted on xgames.com/realstreet, and you, the fan, are able to vote in a tournament-style bracket for your favorite video. The skater who racks up the most fan votes wins $10,000 and will be announced on July 31.

It's definitely an American thing - here in Australia we have like no Cheerleaders or Cheerleading groups. I think it's a sport but I'm not really into it. I think any girls or boys can do it. :3

Sure, many girls can fight, in fact some can fight really well, however it is a fact that women are generally physically weaker than men, which means that if a healthy male and a healthy female were to fight then the outcome wouldn't be 50/50 but rather 25/75 if even that much, this assumes that both the male and female have the same experience, training and of course both are healthy. This doesn't mean that women are inferior to men, but I am just pointing out facts, the notion that men and women are exactly the same and should be carrying out the same tasks is ridiculous.
