Did you know celebrities love their pets just as much as we do? Almost everyone in Hollywood has a best friend they can walk, snuggle and play Frisbee with! Whether big or small, fluffy or flat, dogs are becoming almost as famous as their owners. Check out some of our favorite celebs and their furry friends.
Lauren Conrad and Chloe
Lauren Conrad and former roommate Lo Bosworth adopted Chloe, a mix of lab and shepherd, from an animal shelter. Apparently Chloe likes to chew gum! "She'll go through our purses and find chewing gum," says The Hills star. "She chews it and then spits it out. I always know when she's been chewing it – she has minty breath!"
Blake Lively and Penny
Blake Lively rarely goes out without her best friend Penny, a caramel-colored maltipoo, by her side. In fact, Blake is almost always seen carrying Penny, even on the Gossip Girl set. Weighing in at less than five pounds, it’s not surprising to see why Penny could get exhausted walking all by herself.
Ryan Gosling and George
Ryan Gosling knows that a dog is a man’s best friend. He should, since he has had his pooch George for more than 10 years. George recently joined Ryan on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, sporting an oh-so cool mohawk.
Justin Bieber and Sam
Justin Bieber’s dog Sam help him feel comfortable when Justin and his family moved to a new city. "We moved to a city where we didn't really know anybody, so I kind of wanted a friend around. And Sam was kind of like that friend."
Rachel Bilson and Thurman Murman
Rachel Bilson loves Thurman Murman, a fluffy Tibetan terrier. She also has two other pooches, a Russian terrier and a pup names Penny lane.
Selena Gomez and Chip
Selena’s pup Chip, a Welsh corgi, is one of five dogs owned by the singer. Selena and boyfriend Justin Bieber love to take all of them for long walks.
Jonas Brothers and Elvis
Although Elvis was technically a birthday present for Nick, he shares the golden retriever with his brothers. The dog was named after musicians Elvis Presley and Elvis Costello.
