Pretty Little Liars: Season 2, Episode 12 :: Over My Dead Body

This week’s episode marks the midseason finale of Pretty Little Liars. The show will be back in January to continue the second half of Season 2. The finale answered some pretty serious questions. Most importantly, we learned who was involved in murdering Alison. Turns out Jason had nothing to do with his sister’s death. Who did? Jenna and police officer Garrett. The entire episode starts with the girls being questioned at the police station and flashes back and forward through time to show how they got there.
Digging Deep
‘A’ has all sorts of requests for the girls if they are ever going to get the therapist back alive. Spencer has to break up with Toby, Hanna has to ruin her dad’s wedding, Aria has to fight with Ezra’s ex and Emily has to go on a secret mission. She follows a GPS into the woods and ends up trapped in a shed. After passing out from carbon dioxide poisoning (due to a running car), she is mysteriously saved. She also has a vision where Alison appears to her. Does this mean Alison is really alive or is Emily just dreaming?
The rest of the girls find Emily passed out in the dirt with a shovel next to her. The shovel has coordinates on it and Hanna receives a text telling her the body (which one?!) is still alive. The girls follow the coordinates and start digging only to discover they were set up. The police arrest them and bring them back to the station.
Looking Forward
Apart from major plot twists, some other exciting things happened in the episode. Wren kisses Spencer after she breaks up with Toby. Ezra shows up at the police office and tells Aria’s mom that he’s in love with “her” (meaning Aria, but is mistaken as meaning Spencer). Spencer’s dad may be Jason’s real father. The murder weapon was a shovel (the same one with the coordinates), not the field hockey stick.
