America's Got Talent: Season 6, Episode 30 :: Top 10

Sep 07, 2011

The Top 10 acts competed for a spot in the finale episode on America’s Got Talent Season 6. Only 4 acts will move on. Episode 30 aired on Sept 6, 2011. The best of the best fought for a chance at a million dollars and a headline show in Vegas. But not everyone lived up to their potential.

Just a Bunch of Cheerleaders

The Miami All-Stars weren’t as sophisticated this week, said Sharon. Their theme was football and cheerleaders. And according to Piers, they wound up looking more like a cheerleading squad than professional dancers. Lys Agnes may have had a good presentation - from the blowing wind to the life-size dreamcatcher - but Howie and Sharon didn’t like it when she sang in a low register.

Showing Your True Colors

Landon Swank impressed the judges with the relaxed simplicity of his magic routine. But Anna Graceman didn’t offer the same wow factor singing “True Colors” as she did in her previous performance. Maybe it’s because she stood still on a grassy knoll instead of playing the piano.

Fatal Flaws

All the judges loved The Silhouettes this week. They offered a great message, beautiful dancing and clear silhouetted images. Smage Bros. Riding Shows, however, made a few fatal mistakes, according to Piers. Namely, they hit their assistant in the head with their bike’s wheel. Ouch!

The Next Great Pop Band

With their Jackson medley, POPLYFE proved once again that they are going to be the next big pop band. Piers thinks they deserve stardom. West Springfield Dance Team didn’t step up their performance this week. Sharon found them too predictable.

Million Dollar Acts

Piers’s favorite contestant, Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr., can do no wrong. He stepped away from Frank Sinatra and performed a Dean Martin tune (although you wouldn’t notice the difference). Howie believes he deserves to win the whole competition. Finally, Team iLuminate received a standing ovation from the judges. Howie believes that they will be in the final, without a doubt.

The Top 4

Our predictions were correct! The Silhouettes, POPLYFE, Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr., and Team iLuminate will move onto the finals on America's Got Talent!
