Circle of Life

In Disney’s The Lion King, Simba the lion cub can’t wait to be king … but before he can take over the throne from his dad, King Mufasa, he’s got a lot of growing up to do – and an evil uncle named Scar to outsmart. The movie takes you through Simba’s childhood, when he makes friends and gets into all kind of mischief, through to his teen years, when he falls in love and has to deal with the death of his father.

Many of the reviews and critics say it's bad because they are only looking at it from 'comic to movie' perspective. It was still a really cool movie and you should go see it. I'd have to agree with this. The movie itself was great. I think some people looked at it poorly because they were expecting something more similar to the older films or comparing it too hard to the comics. I personally think that it was a great way to reinvent some of the characters.
