You'd think from the title, The Monsters of Morley Manor, that this book is a terrifying tale of an old, spooky house, haunted by vampires, goblins, and ghouls. But then, you'd be wrong.
The Monsters of Morley Manor - Friendly Creatures
The Monsters of Morley Manor is the perfect example of why you shouldn't
judge a book by its cover. Sure, there are monsters in this book, but these
monsters aren't out to
scare people. They've actually needed
help for over 50 years, but no one has come - until now.
The Monsters of Morley Manor - A Magical Box
Morley Manor is a
hulking, spooky place that had been inhabited by
Old Man Morley until his recent death. The day before it's to be demolished, there is a
sale to get rid of its contents.
Anthony and his sister, Sarah, trudge over one
rainy Sunday afternoon, ready to sort through all the junk being sold off. The last thing in the world they expect to take home is a box of
tiny monster figurines that come to life.
The Monsters of Morley Manor - Bottom Line
The Monsters of Morley Manor doesn't let you down. It's
descriptive, interesting, and exciting all the way through. You never know what's going to happen next, but you're always eager to find out. It's the perfect book to get you in the
Halloween spirit, and it's bound to
offer a chuckle or two along the way.
