Hey Coach,
I have fun playing sports but no one ever picks me for the teams because I suck at it. I always have fun playing soccer but once my friend said to the captain of the team, "Pick Sheena." The captain said, "No, she sucks." I would really like to play soccer but I'm way too bad at it. I have tried praticing. What else should I do?

Hey Sheena Rules the World,
Practicing is a good start. If you practice, you'll get better and the captain will want to pick you for the team. But if the captain doesn't want to pick you now, that's his/her loss. Find a team that does appreciate your skills (even if they are sucky) and do your best. If you have fun playing soccer, then just concentrate on getting better and helping whatever team decides to help you.
There are lots of players in the NBA, NHL and NFL who were never drafted because scouts said, "I'm not gonna pick that guy, he sucks." Those players later turned out to be superstars, were signed as free agents and those scouts ended up looking like major chumps. So, don't worry about when you don't get picked, just worry about getting better and helping your team as much as you can.

I want to know if Allen Iverson is really playing on the 76ers this year because you say he is, but everything I hear says that he is not. I think it was dumb for Allen to do that. He has so much going for him so why ruin it now?

Hey basketball4,
Allen is definitely going to be working his magic in a 76ers' jersey this year. He broke a bone in his hand during training camp but he's recovered from that injury and scored 25 points in his first pre-season game. Earlier in the summer, Allen Iverson was arrested and charged with assault and he had a big argument with 76ers' head coach, Larry Brown. Those two incidents helped fuel rumors that Allen wouldn't be playing for the 76ers anymore.
But all charges against Allen Iverson have been dropped and fights between Larry Brown and Allen Iverson are nothing new. Every year, Allen accuses Larry Brown of not respecting him and Larry Brown says Allen is missing too many practices. Then a few days or weeks later, they'll make up and say they love each other. It's kind of like when you get into a fight with your mom or dad and say, "I hate you. I'm never talking to you again." You may not really mean it but sometimes when people get emotional, they say things that they don't really mean. So, the bottom line is, Allen Iverson will be wearing a 76ers jersey and working his crossover magic in Philadelphia this season.
