American Idol: Season 11, Week 3 :: Audition #6 & #7

Feb 02, 2012

This week on American Idol (Season 11, Episode 6), the judges head to Portland, Oregon. Read Kidzworld’s recap of “Audition #6” which aired on February 1, 2012, to discover what you missed.

Audition #6: Portland, Oregon

The City of Roses has a few too many thorns. At least that’s what the American Idol judges discovered on their first day in Portland. But as the auditions pushed on, more and more roses bloomed. We met 21-year-old Brittany Zika, who proved that dreams really do come true. She dreamt that she sang Gravity on stage with Sara Bareilles, and when she attended her concert, Sara invited her on stage. But will her American Idol dream come true? So far so good, as the judges sent her to Hollywood.

We also met 24-year-old Jermaine Jones, whose talent, along with his 6'8" frame, reached new heights on American Idol; 27-year-old single mom Britnee Kellogg, who coincidentally resembles Britney Spears; 22-year-old Liberia-native Romeo Diahn, who spent much of his life living in a refugee camp before coming to America; and 25-year-old Jessica Phillips, whose boyfriend recently had a stroke and now suffers from amnesia and a speech impediment. Even with all that talent, we can’t leave out Ben Harrison, a 28-year-old cabbage patch kid! (Well, not literally, but he looks like one!)

Audition #7: St. Louis, Missouri

The final stop on the American Idol Season 11 audition may have delivered the next American Idol himself. 22-year-old Johnny Keyser stunned the judges with his good looks and even better voice! In St. Louis we also met 26-year-old single mom Rachelle Lamb; 20-year-old Reis Kloeckener, who endured a lot of bullying in high school; and 22-year-old Lauren Grey, who's family owns a one-stop wedding shop.
