Extreme sports live in the snowboarding game, SSX. Get the full scoop in our game review!

Team SSX is traveling to conquer the nine deadliest slopes of the world before their former team member, Griff, does it. Their journey will take you all over the world and let you trick and snowboard on some breathtakingly beautiful mountains.

Deadly Descents

SSX features nine mountains from all over the world, including Patagonia, the Himalayas, Alaska, Africa, and Siberia. Each mountain has several routes and the cool thing is that they are all based on real slopes! That means, if you end up traveling around the world, you might recognize some of these descents! Of course, the game adds a bit here and there, including secret shortcuts for racing and random obstacles, like nuclear reactors, for you to do tricks off of.

Aside from race mode and trick mode, there is a survival mode. Each mountain has a Deadly Descent. It's so dangerous that you get special equipment, like the wingsuit! As you make your way down, you will have to fend off avalanches, jagged rocks, falling trees, low oxygen, and more!

Big Air and Big Fun

Overall, SSX is an amazing game that is crammed full of things to explore and discover. Most routes feature multiple paths that you can take. The controls for tricks are pretty easy to use, but it will take skill to master. Online mode is mostly leaderboard contests, but as you try for the fastest time or high score, you might see other players on the slopes doing the same! You can also make invite-only events to challenge your friends. Definitely a great game for extreme sports enthusiasts.
